Another Man Tore Ashlee and Pete Apart: Her Dad

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had lunch together with son Bronx in Beverly Hills this week, giving some hope to shell-shocked friends that they might reconsider their divorce. Insiders tell me, however, that's not going to happen if Ashlee's dad, Joe Simpson, has his way.

"Just like when Jessica split from Nick, Joe is doing nothing to encourage Ashlee to give the marriage another try, if only for the sake of her son," an insider tells me. "Joe likes being the only man in his daughters' lives and is happy that Ashlee has moved back into his home [in Encino, Calif.], just like Jessica did after she announced she was leaving Nick."

Ashlee and Pete married in May 2008, when Ashlee was 23 and Pete was 28. Their son Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born later that year. A source told PEOPLE that the real reason for the split was that they married too young. (Twenty eight is young?)

In their only statement on the split, the pair claimed they "remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No.1 priority."

Pete, who is said to be devastated by the news, has been begging Ashlee to reconsider and has even reached out to her parents in a last-ditch effort to get her back.

"Joe got rid of Nick, and now he is saying goodbye to Pete," a friend of Pete's tells me. "Let's hope Ashlee finds more happiness than Jessica did when she finds herself officially single again."

Terrence Howard's Wife Files For Divorce After One Year

So much for newlywed bliss.One year after Terrence Howard quietly wed wife Michelle in January 2010, the pair have called it quits.

In court documents obtained by Radar, Michelle says they separated on January 27 due to irreconcilable differences and asks for spousal support and for the actor, 41, to pay her legal fees.
Though the pair tied the knot in front of 50 guests at L.A. eatery Cecconi's January 21, 2010, they didn't go public with their marriage until the Cannes Film Festival last May.

Terrence has three kids with ex-wife Lori McCommas, whom he wed in 1989, divorced, then married again in 2005.

The divorce saga between Kelsey Grammer and his estranged wife has taken another turn after Camille accused the actor of using their children as 'props'.


The former Frasier star, 55, revealed plans to wed his fiancee Kayte Walsh, 29, as early as next month when he appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman last night.

And in a bitter blow to his estranged wife, the cameras cut to Miss Walsh cuddling up to her two children backstage.The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Camille - who has is appealing Kelsey's request for a swift divorce - admitted seeing her children Mason, eight, and Jude, five, with their future stepmother was 'uncomfortable'.

In an interview with Bravo TV show Watch What Happens Live, Camille revealed she met Kayte for the first time in New York on Wednesday, when handing her kids over to Kelsey.

The 42-year-old said: 'She was nice, and we both said hello. She has a very strong handshake. It was uncomfortable. Kelsey looked shocked. The look on his face.

'It's the first time I've seen him and her together. And with my children, that was uncomfortable."

Exclusive: Christina Aguilera Splits From Husband

Singer Christina Aguilera is going solo.


Though the pop star, 29, told UsMagaizne.com less than a year ago that she felt “very blessed” in her union with music executive Jordan Bratman, 33, a source close to Aguilera tells Us the couple “have been separated for a few months.”

And though Aguilera and Bratman — who met in 2002 (he was a producer on one of her albums) and wed in 2005 — have not yet decided whether to divorce, the source reveals, “they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.”

What went wrong?

“They were very much in love,” explains the insider. “But over the last six months, it ­became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”The source adds that Aguilera even “­proposed their August trip to Italy to ­rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.”

The duo remain united in their commitment, however, to son Max, 2.

“He is their main concern,” says the pal. Aguilera has even been bringing the tot to the studio while she wraps up the soundtrack for her November 24 musical, Burlesque.

“Christina is doing her best to be a great mom,” says the insider. “She has a lot to ­juggle, but she’s learning how to make it work and balance it all.”
